Deseret Book
Deseret Book Company (Deseret Book) traces its beginnings back to 1866, when a Utah pioneer established a small bookstore and publishing venture at the same location where Deseret Book's headquarters building is located today. That original enterprise went through several iterations before being incorporated in 1932 as Deseret Book Company.

Deseret Book has seven business units: Deseret Book Direct which includes on-line and other direct channels, Deseret Book Retail, Deseret Book Publishing, Seagull Book - www.seagullbook.com, Covenant Communication - www.covenant-lds.com, Excel Film - www.excelfilms.com, and Time Out Events.

The two publishing units (Deseret Book and Covenant) produce books, audio/video products, new media products, electronic products, and online publications.

The two retail units (Deseret Book and Seagull) operate bookstores in Utah and other states, carry general trade books of fiction and nonfiction, plus values-oriented products designed to strengthen families and individuals.

The Deseret Book Company manages a worldwide book club, distributes mail-order catalogs, conducts an online internet bookstore, and operates Mormon Handicraft, a consignment store for mostly local arts and crafts.
